Luton Sikh Soup Kitchen
Guru Nanak Gurdwara Luton has been serving hot meals (langar) for years, and in November 2021 volunteers founded the Luton Sikh Soup Kitchen. The objective of the organisation is to provide a hot meal service to anyone in need outside Luton Town Centre on a Sunday evening. It started by providing 80 meals, and now the Soup Kitchen serves 150 hot meals per week.
Since starting the organisation has served over 15,000 hot meals to service users on the streets of Luton.
Our achievements from humble beginnings are in their entirety dedicated to all our volunteers and kind sponsors.
From 2023 onwards the focus of the Soup Kitchen will build on the foundations laid since inception and continue to support eradicating food poverty in Luton.
